Our first feature is an adaptation of the novel Nalda Said by ex-Belle & Sebastian bassist Stuart David. Nalda Said is one of a slate of features we have in development. The novel has achieved cult status in the USA and Silver has held the option for the past two years. Matt Cook is writing the screenplay and Peter Speyer is our story editor.

Nalda Said is an insight into the reclusive mind of Reynard, a fragile, engaging and totally unique character. The film chronicles his attempts to find his place in a world shaped as much by his faith as his fears.

The story is laden with poignant themes and issues of inclusion and alienation, as well as the ‘nature or nurture?’ debate. It’s a story of powerful characters and strong emotions, which is as sorrowful as it is beautiful.
